What you need


 Glass jar – big enough to fit your hand in the top such as a large pickle jar
 Printer with A4 plain white paper
 Coloured card
 glass jar
 glue
 scissors


You can really use any jar or container that you have in the house.  I used a kilner jar that we had in the kitchen and cut out a some paper to make a label and also a tag to make it all pretty!


Here are few ideas:




  1. Read a book
  2. Let’s cook – Healthy Biscuits
  3. Let’s cook – make healthy pizza
  4. Tidy your room
  5. Pick a flower and paint a picture of it
  6. Go swimming
  7. Make music
  8. Go to the library
  9. Make an obstacle course

  11. Clean your bedroom
  12. Learn how to skip
  13. Paint rocks
  14. Make cards
  15. Draw a map of our house 
  16. Let’s cook – you choose

Healthy Lifestyle Awareness Family Presentation _Short Clip



AEM Health And Fitness holds Group Talks for Families in schools, gyms, studios & Community Halls & Sports Clubs.
A healthy diet helps children grow and learn. It also helps prevent obesity and weight-related diseases, such as diabetes.
During these Group Talks we cover the following topics such as:

  • Why eating healthy is important?
  • Hydration for children, why ? how much ? what ?
  • Reading the food labels. Why? How ?
  • How to make simple small changes in everyday’s lifestyle?
  • How much screen time for kids is ok ? Why too much is not good ?
This is a fun and interactive presentation. Well structured and allowing for Q&A with parents. We can also provide handouts at the end of the presentation.

Benefits of dance classes for children


We all know by now that physical activity is an essential part of the wellness equation for adults and children. But this applies even more for children who are in their physical and mental development phase.


As parents, we have been reminded a countless number of times by governmental bodies and medical bodies that children need a minimum of one hour of physical activity per day. But do we actually achieve this?

In today’s world where we use technology in almost every daily activities it’s becoming a real challenge to actually get physical!


Let’s highlight that children should not spend more than 2 hours per day in front of screens (ipads/ TV / iPhone / computer games…). Beyond these two hours of screen time – some research have shown that beyond too much screen time for children can have negative physical and neurological problems in additional to creating an addiction.


Ideally getting physically active as a family is the ideal scenario but it can be a real challenge during weekdays due to parental work / family commitments. Getting your children to classes such as dance classes, martial art classes, fitness classes is the next best option and a great solution.
Not only will this add to their physical activity quota but it will it will also give you extra free time.




Children going to group classes get a change to socialise and interact with other children outside school.
Dance / dance fitness classes are great way to give you child’s brain a co-ordination and memory challenge in addition to a physical one! Dancing integrates several brain functions at once — kinesthetic, rational, musical, and emotional — further increasing the neural connectivity. A winner after-school activity if you want a smarter child!


Let’s not forget the feel good hormones, and the fact the children get to impress you and their friends with some cool dance moves! This will increase their self-confidence too! Watch and see your children blossom and glow!
