👪 New Year’s resolutions aren’t just for parents

When it comes to making New Year’s resolutions, nobody really thinks about making them for their children too. Or involving their children in their own. Let’s say you decide you want to become fitter, stronger, and healthier this year. You might have already joined the gym, decided that you’re going to cut down on takeaways and eat more fresh fruit and vegetables. So why not get your children involved as well? There are plenty of activities that you can do as a family – and I’ll bet there’s more in your area that you first thought. It doesn’t have to be complicated, you’ll probably find that there are plenty of local fitness activities you and your children could join. Think about all the physical activities your children enjoy… maybe it’s football, rugby, dancing, running – whatever it may be, you’re bound to find a club or after school activity that your children can join. Plan out a weekly schedule and you’ll soon find that attending isn’t a chore, it’s a part of your routine that you (and your children) look forward to. But don’t forget nutrition…
You can do all the exercise in the world, but if you’re not eating the right foods, you’re not going to get the long-term results you’re looking for. When it comes to nutrition, what an adult needs is very different to a child.
Portion control is one thing, but you also need to make sure your children are getting the right foods. So, if you need a bit of a hand when it comes to nutrition, look no further. ‘Like’ our Facebook page and you’ll be kept up-to-date with a whole range of free tips and ideas that you can put into action. Here at AEM Health and Fitness_kids, we specialise in helping people understand the importance of health and nutrition. We work with both parents and children to show them how easy, and fun, it can be to lead a healthy life.
